Cricket Betting: India v Sri Lanka, 2nd ODI

The first ODI of this series was one of the all time classics, can this one live up to the standards set in that game?

I should maybe be more specific when talking about the ‘standards’ set in the first ODI; the batting was exemplary from both sides but the bowling and fielding was extremely poor to put it politely. 825 runs were scored in the match yet they were split by just three runs in the end and if either side can be a bit more disciplined with the ball and take their chances in the field they could win this game comfortably.

This game also has potential to be a bit of a run-fest as the game will be played on the same pitch which Sri Lanka made 216 on in the Twenty20 match between the sides. So expect this game to again go to the side that produce the best batting performance.

The positives for Sri Lanka going into this game is that they could recall their key pace bowler Lasith Malinga and he could make the difference required to edge what is a fairly even match-up. Even if he doesn’t play I have this one down as an even match-up and on that basis I am taking the bigger price of 2.3 that is available on Sri Lanka at Betfair.
