Aston Villa have shown their intentions this week now Tottenham or Man City must show that they are not going to end the season as also-rans…..
Tottenham v Man City
Both teams suffered major setbacks to their fourth place aspirations at the weekend, but a win here would put them right back on track.
However, winning is something which Man City have struggled to do this season. They are the leagues draw specialists and the win over Chelsea last weekend was the only time they have not ended a league game all square in their last nine outings.
Yet whilst they haven’t been winning, the string of draws obviously means they haven’t been losing. They are an extremely hard team to beat this season and for that reason I believe that Tottenham are way too short at the 2.36 available on Betfair and for me they are a big lay at that price.
Liverpool v Wigan
A Liverpool side containing Fernando Torres is a completely different prospect to one without. Not only does he possess a huge goal scoring threat, the way the team play football is also a lot more direct when Torres is available as an outlet.
That usually leads to an open game and whilst Wigan are seriously struggling with their consistency they do continue to approach games in a positive manner. That means we should see an attacking and open game which in theory will lead to goals and is enough for me to suggest backing Over 2.5 goals at 4/5 with 888sport.com.
Chelsea v Portsmouth & Burnley v Arsenal
I can’t see anything other than a victory for the big boys here but at the short odds on offer I will be staying clear of both games.
