The Weekend
Well punters, I hope that Le Havre tip paid for the weekends partying!!
Not a bad week. Le Havre was the bet of the year, never mind the week. A couple of let downs on the footy but a nice 5 timer if you got hold of it. Liverpool were the bookies saviour this week so hope you all manged to avoid those donkeys. Liverpool without Gerrard and Torres are as much use as the Swiss Navy.
As predicted Rooney did score 1st. Hope we were all on that. Rugby union was a let down, a well below par Gloucester performance and Saracens losing to a kick at the death. Look out for the 6 Nations tips at the end of the week.
The talk of the betting world this week has been Kauto Star and the upcoming Cheltenham Festival featuring the Gold Cup. What a performance that was. Surely a dead cert for the big race. Disappointing run from Kicking King leaves what looks like a race off between Denman and stable mate Kauto Star. Forecast reverse (i,e 1st and 2nd in any order) may be the bet on that depending on how the odds move. I fancy Knowhere @29-1 for 3rd spot. Saw him run a couple of weeks and he absolutely romped home. You heard it here first! My e/w tip. Early I know but I’m already excited about it!!
Watch out this week for The Dons guide to spread betting. In preparation if you don’t have a sporting index account yet, click on the link on the right hand side of this page and set one up. Its quick, easy and free with no obligation. A great way to make big money when the bookies get the spreads wrong (which they do with surprising frequency). A great way to bet on bets which settle a long time in the future (ie season / tournament bets) as you can close them out whenever you like and book big profits. Open one now to make sure you dont miss the golden chance to beat those nasty bookies. I will be keeping my eyes open and ears to the ground to find a big winner to get everyone off to a winning spread bet.
